Answer

At the moment if you are wishing to do a broad search for education books and journals, you are advised to use UCL Explore which covers a range of different resources - find out more on our Searching for Resources LibGuide: http://libguides.ioe.ac.uk/searching.  For very focused searching of articles in journals and conference papers, you are better off using individual databases - see http://libguides.ioe.ac.uk/databases.

As a UCL Institute of Education student, you are also able to access resources across the whole range of subject areas at UCL.  See the UCL Library E-resources page http://www.ucl.ac.uk/library/electronic-resources.
