How long is copyright in a work?
The copyright law states that a work is in copyright during an author/composer/dramatist/script writer/editor/translator etc lifetime plus 70 years after the death of the creator. author (last surviving author, if more than one author). This is true of works that are joinly created.
Anonymous works (including works issued by corporate bodies without identification of authors, and pseudonymous works whose true authorship is unknown) are in copyright for 70 years from publication. Illustrations in works have their own copyright as has the typography.
