Answer

There are various ways of accessing ejournals from outside the UCL Institute of Education.

1) Via UCL Explore (enter journal or article details)

  Finding a journal in Explore

2) Via the A-Z of ejournals available to UCL staff and students (enter the journal title details)

If you have a reference to an article, e.g. Freathy, R., & Parker, S. (2010). The necessity of historical inquiry in educational research: The case of religious education. British Journal of Religious Education32(3), 229-243, follow the steps outlined below:

a. Go to the e-Resources @ UCL page at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/library/electronic-resources

b. Click on the eJournals option on the RH-side of the page:

c. This will take you to the eJournals search page at http://metalib.ucl.ac.uk/V?func=find-ej-1

d. Type in the title of the journal, select the 'Exact' radio button and click on Go

e. If UCL Library Services subscribe to the journal, it will be listed as part of the search results

f. Click on the journal title and you will taken to the SFX@UCL page.  Click on 'Go' from the list of option (suppliers) and you will then have to sign-on with your UCL username and password.  If you do not have these credentials, contact the Computer Helpdesk.

g. Once you have authenticated, you will be taken to the journal's website. Select the option to View all volumes and issues on the RH-side of the page; then select the volume and the year, the issue and the page numbers to find the article you require.
