Where are the dissertations in the Library?

You are advised to search the Library Catalogue first if you have a subject in mind or want the work of a particular author.  Follow the instructions outlined here http://libanswers.ioe.ac.uk/a.php?qid=438612 to do a keyword search in the Dissertations Collections. 

Dissertations that were written after 1980 are shelved on Level 5 (upstairs). 

Follow the directions outlined below to find them in the Newsam Library:

1.  Go up the central staircase, turn left and walk to the end of the floor.

2.  Turn left again and walk towards the windows.

3.  The dissertations will be on your right and are shelved by date, author and title.

Older dissertations are kept in Store.  If you require a dissertation written before 1980, please search for it in the Library Catalogue and 'Request it from Store'. This option is appears in the bibliographic record on the Library Catalogue:
