If you are visiting another university for a meeting or to do research in their library/archives you can use Eduroam to connect to the Internet.  Eduroam stands for education roaming. It is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. You can get Eduroam at participating HEIs in the UK and worldwide - see the list of UK participating organisations and Eduroam to see the list of worldwide institutions.

To use the service,

1. Select Eduroam in the list of service providers

2. Enter your UCL username@ucl.ac.uk (note that you have to state which organisation you are from and the @ucl.ac.uk does this)

3. Enter your password

You can also use Eduroam internally to connect your device/laptop to the Internet in the same way.

If you need further assistance with this, please come to the IT at IOE Helpdesk in the Library or email  or call them on the 24-7 Helpline (+44 (0) 020 7612 6696.  Further details are available at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/isd/services/get-connected/wireless/eduroam
