The Institute is subject to strict licensing conditions when it comes to the reproduction of copyrighted materials for use in online and face-to face teaching.
Tutors and course administrators are therefore expressively forbidden from uploading scanned book chapters or journal articles to Moodle. Library staff must carry out the necessary copyright checks first before they as ‘designated’ persons do the actual scanning or order material as appropraite.
The Library Digitisation LibGuide sets out the specific conditions in much more detail and how specific material can be requested for digitisation.
